I’m proud to announce I will be one of the panelists on this event, which was co-created as part of the Erasmus-funded EFURM project between the Neurodiversity Education Academy (NEA) and Melting Pro, with the Nieuwe Bibliotheek Almere serving as our local host. We are focusing on inclusive design in cultural spaces.
We are hosting this as part of our Neurodiversity Pride Day Celebrations 2026
My friend and NEA co-founder Lana Jelenjev is speaking on “BREWING BELONGING: One HOPEful Conversation at a Time”
I will be part of a panel titled “Built for Everyone — What Does Belonging Actually Look Like?“
The entire event will be focused on building a better understanding of what it means to design for all neurotypes in cultural spaces. What are the limitations? What are the small, but highly impactful changes we can start to make? What do we need to start paying attention to, practicing or letting go of, to be more inclusive in the way that we design cultural spaces? What co-designing practices work? What stereotypes about neurotypes are actually harming the co-designing efforts? What are some useful parameters to gauge if we are moving towards more inclusive practices?
I wholeheartedly invite everyone who is local to the Netherlands and has involvement in (inclusive) design in cultural spaces to be a part of this in person event.
Sign up through Eventbrite here
I will be joined by other amazing experts and hope to have a collaborative dialogue with all who attend!

Can’t join me for this event, but would love to explore how I can help you with inclusive learning design?
