This year as well, I am excited to offer my unique strengths-based coaching grant to celebrate and honor my dear friend – Mikel Rijsdijk.

If you feel like your life is not aligning with your hopes and wishes, if you’re struggling to keep up with the fast pace of the world we live in, if you’ve heard one too many times how you’re “too much”, yet feel like it’s never enough – this is the place for you.

Mikel Rijsdijk

Hi, I’m Saskia! Founder of Brilliantly Diverse and co-founder of the Neurodiversity Education Academy. I am a strengths-based coach intent on helping neurodivergent persons, like yourself, to make the most out of your strengths, and learn to face your weaknesses. Over time you will learn to work with your brain, not against it! I received a late ADHD diagnosis myself, after years of feeling weird, or like I did not quite fit into the world we live in. Thankfully, over time, I gathered a supportive community of fellow “misfits” around me. Artists, scientists, and highly empathic seekers who were not afraid to question the “way things are”, yet still deeply devoted to the core tenets of a scientific way of thinking. One of those “misfits” was my dearest friend Mikel, and he was incredibly supportive as I processed my ADHD diagnosis and began contemplating my new dream to support people journeying on a similar path. Sadly he isn’t with me today to see this dream unfolding. Read more about Mikel and my reasons for naming the grant in his honor.

Looking for a way to commemorate Mikel, I created this grant to expand the reach of strengths-based coaching to all those who seek it – yet cannot afford it.

It is no secret that many neurodivergent persons are struggling financially and are unable to afford therapy, training, coaching, or counseling, or the higher co-pay needed to access services in their area. And there are also those who cannot access institutional services for fear of stigma and taboo. Access to reliable resources and information about neurodiversity, diagnosis, and many of the excellent supporting services available today is still, unfortunately, too unevenly distributed. While I can’t diagnose anyone – I can certainly offer education, coaching, and mentoring!

I truly believe that everyone deserves a chance to benefit from the tools and growth enabled through coaching work and neuroeducation. My personal development owes a lot to those that have helped me become a better version of myself, each and every day.

Check out the Brilliantly Diverse website for more information on neurodiversity and how coaching can help you live up to your full potential!

I celebrate you for who you are and where you are today.
Now let’s get to work!
